New Voices values every students’ contribution to the community and school culture.  Students are encouraged to have pride in our school and themselves.  We strive to provide a safe and nurturing environment by ensuring all students see themselves represented in inclusive units of study and the arts disciplines.  

Our rigorous academic curriculum challenges students to become independent critical thinkers.  A highly structured and comprehensive arts program promotes student self expression, creativity, and self-discipline.  

Through a comprehensive, rigorous curriculum with social-emotional and culturally responsive threads woven throughout, we encourage students to find their voices so that they can effectively advocate for themselves and others.   Students explore past and present societal issues through multiple perspectives to figure out what we could do to move forward.  College and career readiness courses (including Regents-level courses) develop students’ resilience and enable them to strive for excellence and have equitable access to opportunities.
